There are many resources and pre-designed curriculums available online, and a great majority will have everything a new homeschooling family will need. To help you narrow your search we have picked our top 2 favorite picks for each subject.
When choosing a homeschool curriculum, it depends on your family's needs and preferences. For math, Abeka offers a structured, spiral-based approach, while Math Lessons for a Living Education provides a slower, story-driven method. For language arts, The Good and the Beautiful is a comprehensive, Christian-based option with beautiful materials, whereas Language Lessons for a Living Education offers a flexible, narrative-focused approach. For science, Real Science for Kids is great for secular families looking for hands-on learning, while Apologia is ideal for Christian families seeking a faith-integrated, in-depth curriculum. Ultimately, your choice should align with your child’s learning style, your family’s educational philosophy, and whether you prefer faith-based content.
If you're unsure where to start, we offer curriculum consultations to help design a personalized plan for your family. We'll discuss your child's learning style, goals, and values to recommend or create a custom curriculum. Whether blending resources or focusing on specific subjects, we’ll help you build a balanced, effective, and enjoyable homeschooling experience.
The time varies depending on your child's grade level and the curriculum. On average, elementary students spend 1-3 hours a day, while older students may need 2-5 hours daily.
